Riding Rehabilitation
Riding rehab begins with tack walking. When a horse is ready to start back to work under saddle, your veterinarian will prescribe the length and number of times your horse should walk under saddle. After increasing the tack walking usually up to 25-30 minutes, trotting can begin, again slowly increasing the time at trot, until the horse is ready to canter, and again increasing time in the canter until the horse is back to full work.
We have two arenas for riding as well as grass fields. Our indoor arena is ideal for working under saddle, it has German Geo Textile (GGT) footing, irrigation, plenty of natural light as well as overhead lighting, and it is very quiet. Our outdoor arena also has GGT footing, irrigation and lighting.
